4.6 Starting UI
as an Experience Design project, the process started with an abstract concept of the expression of “nothing” or  the “things left for imagination”, As Muneer Niyazi wrote,
..
ik rangeen anbani duniya par,
ik khidki ankhuli rahne do.

(English : In this colourful, unfinished world,
Let one window remain unopened.)

from that abstract concept of a poetry through conceptualization, that thaught tangibilized into a three frame UI and refined with many interations of UX. Parallaly, the development progressed through AI assisted coding with Cursor, Setting a backend Database for generated artworks to showcase in the gallery and Deployment with cloud hosting.

As a Speculative and Critical design project, this project speculates a plausible near future where the phenomena of overprotection or overcontrol frequently present and the social group of people in control or authority, for example, parent at home to their child, teacher at school to their students or manager at office to their employees etc, needs a behavioural nudge for self-regulation of their over-protective habits.

The diagetic artifact in this phenomena, speculated as a shoe, measures their stress and anxiety levels, and through ML understands their behavioral patterns of moments of acting out of Anxiety or Stress and gives them a behavioral nudge through a contraction mechanism on the feet, to self-regulate.

question was how might we facilitate the sense of presence for long-distance couples. The most fundamental need in long-distance relationships is simply each other — their presence, so, to symbolically communicate the feeling of their presence, while ethically acknowledging their physical absence, needed to be actualized.

solution statement : The point is not that someone or something is here, rather he or she is not here, yet here.

Heere, a conversation companion where long distance couples can subconsciously fidget with each other's hand gestures through dynamic air pressure, replicated by sensors, blower fans, ESP32 etc during their nightly video call conversations.

The Beckground development was made with a Node.js server to connect ultrasound sensor, to measure the distance of the viewer from the panels. Then with Jetson Nano and Mac mini, a particle system was created using three.js (webgl libraries) with performance art visuals, On the other hand, a sound system was made with sounds recorded from the forest. So, as a whole, audience can interact to feel the spirit of being with nature through electronic rituals.

Quarantine Colours
Impressionism in Digital Age
2020

During lockdown and social isolation due to covid-19, people were being subconsciously habituated to the colours available in their nearby environment. To revive the hidden sense of normalcy of everyday commute and visual diversity, here colour theory, creative photography and editings are used to share a particular colour everyday.
